Laundry Ghana
Door-to-door laundry pickup and delivery, run from three connected apps.
Three people. One bag of laundry.
Pick a seat. One order moves through all three apps: Efua books it, Kwame carries it, Abena washes it.
Efua Mensah
Customer
Efua booked a wash-and-iron pickup before work. She never left home: she picked a laundromat, paid with mobile money, and now she’s watching her clean clothes come back.

Bag-based pricing, a 4.8 rating and a photo of the shop. Tap “Order from here”.
A back office for every laundromat.
Abena’s earnings page: what came in today and over the last 7 days, and the order behind every payment.
Money, at a glance.
Today and the last 7 days, gross before fees, and the month split into paid and awaiting payment.

The problem
A laundry service needed customers to book pickups, couriers to collect and deliver, and laundromats to process orders, all without phone calls and paper notes keeping everyone in step.
Designed
- Three apps with one look: the customer app, the courier app and the laundromat dashboard share the same colours, type and building blocks.
- A booking flow that shows the price before you commit: choose a laundromat, a service, a bag size, then your pickup and return times.
- Order tracking that shows every stage on a timeline and the courier as a dot on a map.
- A dashboard that opens on what needs attention today, written for a shop owner rather than an accountant.
Engineered
- One API behind all three apps, so an order placed on a phone appears on the shop’s dashboard and in the courier’s runs.
- Sign-in with a one-time code sent by SMS.
- Mobile money and card payments through Paystack, with each payment split between the laundromat and the courier.
- Each laundromat sets its own services, prices and opening hours.
- Delivery fees based on the real driving distance, nearby jobs offered to couriers, and the courier’s location shared during a run.
The outcome
One system runs the whole service: customers book and pay from their phones, couriers know where to go next, and every laundromat sees its orders and earnings in one place.
